Why WordPress?

There are a lot of blogging services, website builders, and social networks out there. Why create your website with WordPress?

WordPress powers over a third of the web. It’s used by hobby blogs, businesses of all sizes, online stores, even the biggest news sites on the internet. Odds are that many of your favorite websites are running on WordPress.

With WordPress, you own your own content. Other social networks treat you as a commodity, and assume ownership of the content you post. But with WordPress anything you publish is yours, and you can take it with you wherever you’d like.

Whether you need a website builder to create your website, or a simple blog maker, WordPress can help. It gives you beautiful designs, powerful features, and the freedom to build anything you want.

It's very good within a very limited context; if you want to quickly throw up quick text drafts from your phone to polish from a PC later, it's great. Expect more and you'll be disappointed. However requiring XMLRPC is a big security hole - 2 urgent changes required: 1) support a manually entered modified XMLRPC URL or tag required ONLY during setup. Requiring link tag ongoing means you can't obscure the URL. 2) support for 2FA

I just started blogging and the app has all the functions I need, although when I insert images and text (alternated blocks) sometimes it messes up images orders and switches them around. When I then publish it, the images blocks are never in the same order and I need to go back and edit multiple times. Posts with 50+ image blocks take hours to manually re-upload and sort everything out. Very annoying

they never should have made a mobile app if they weren't actually going to make it functional. some pages have a section for you to unadd parts of your website, others just don't. have fun having to refresh the page to remove it. refreshing would be fine if it meant you didn't have to save after every small change you like, though to make matters worse, the "remove" area is sometimes replaced with the save so you save before you can refresh to be rid of the change.

What’s new

We made some fixes to the experimental editor.
- You can select, move through, and edit group blocks—and they’re easier to use, too.
- Your content won’t reset when you change your device’s orientation.
- We fixed a pesky bug that sometimes made the editor crash when saving changes.
